Hello there, I currently work as a Ph.D. student in the field of Theoretical Neuroscience in the NIPG at ELTE, Budapest, Hungary, also in collaboration with the Wigner Research Centre of Physics, in the GOLAB. I graduated in medicine in SE and as a M.Sc. in Physics in ELTE.
My current research interest revolves around phase transitions, critical points and scaling in computation; self-organisation and emerging phenomena in information coding; bifurcation theory and topological reductions of complex ion-channel models; time, phase and pattern coding in neurons, dendritic computations with dendritic compartments and dendritic spikes; role of synchrony in selecting neuronal inputs vs. structured and random noise; dynamical and plasticity time scales of neuronal functions and adiabatic simplification possibilities; hierarchical complexity reduction and abstraction of sensory inputs; feature extraction, learning, memory and recall; brain states and brainwave phenomena, their functions, along with their time relevant scales and functional neuroanatomical correlates; perceptual grouping, cross-modality binding, attention; roles of emotions and brain states, limbic system and ascending pathways modulations of cognitive functions; awareness, conscioussness; analogical, creative, intuitive, insight type of processing, synthesis and "inventing".
In the recent years I have also been conducting field and statistical epidemiology for RAD Labor. Although quite irregurarely I also work for the JRC. Earlier I worked in the institute of HPCER, at SE. See my CV and publications list for more profession information.

My heartbound interest is how our mind catches the moment of intuition, inspiration, involvement, flow or full presence -- in science, in arts and in our everyday life. One way to change into such state of mind is discovering new things, plain and basic. Be inspired by children's playfullness! Amongst all arts I have found myself particularly attracted to music, I play the piano, organ, accordion, guitars, vocals and drums, both solo and in ensembles. Images, theater and poems also have their part in my life.

And please take a minute everyday to think, feel and act anything universally, socially and morally imperative. Yes, even a small step makes difference!
